This is the first post on **midoreigh** — a home for essays on geopolitics, technology and culture.

A few promises:

- **No paywalls, no pop-ups, no tracking pixels.** Just words.
- **Slow over fast.** Fewer, better essays.
- **Machine-readable by default.** Every post has a Markdown twin (add `.md` to the URL), and the whole site is summarised in [/llms.txt](/llms.txt).

Pull up a chair. The chai is on.
